Instant Snow

Ever seen of water instantly freezing when it touches the glass cup and you go like: "what the...I was just about to drink that and it just froze but it was liquid when it was in the bottle...". Yes.




Pure water can be kept below freezing point and still remain in the liquid state because it does not have enough energy to realign its particles into solid form. This energy can come from striking the side of the glass cup. Also, the pure water has no impurities. Ordinary tap water can not be kept this cold without freezing because it has impurities inside to make it freeze.
